
James Ingram
James joined the firm as a Solicitor from a large commercial firm in Birmingham in 1993 and became a Partner in 1997. He now specialises in all aspects of commercial property and general commercial work, including dispute resolution.
He has an established commercial property practice with particular expertise in leasehold enfranchisement, lease extensions and landlord and tenant matters.
He also has over 30 years’ experience in contentious work, including High Court and Court of Appeal cases and mediation.

Matthew Hann
Matthew initially trained as a Legal Executive before qualifying as a Solicitor in 2012 and became a Partner in 2018.
He now specialises in all aspects of commercial property and domestic conveyancing work, including freehold and leasehold residential sales and purchases, sales and purchases of freehold interests, lease extensions on behalf of both landlord and tenant, transfer of equity, re-mortgages, shared ownership, right to buy, auction sales and purchases and new build sales and purchases.
He also has over 20 years’ experience in criminal litigation and has Higher Court Advocacy Rights in respect of criminal litigation.

Marissa Jacquet
Marissa joined the firm in 2015 as a Trainee Solicitor before qualifying in 2017 and became a Partner in 2022. Marissa specialises in commercial property with an emphasis on commercial leases, leasehold enfranchisement and auction sales and purchases. Marissa has over 10 years’ experience in the Real Estate sector having previously worked as a Paralegal for several years at a large commercial firm in Birmingham.
Marissa was named Junior Legal Professional of Year 2021 at the BBL Excellence Awards in Birmingham and shortlisted for Solicitor of the Year at the Birmingham Law Society 2022 Legal Awards.

Sophie Shakeshaft
Sophie specialises in Private Client work. She worked in the legal sector after university, qualified as a Solicitor in 2017 and became a Partner in 2022. Sophie can assist in all areas of Private Client work including drafting Wills, advising on Lasting and General Powers of Attorney, registering Enduring Powers of Attorney, preparing Court of Protection applications and all aspects of Estate administration. Her friendly, professional approach ensures that clients feel supported during what can be a difficult time.
Sophie is a fully accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly at Grove Tompkins Bosworth and is also a Dementia Friend.

Jacquie Boyle
Jacquie is a Conveyancing Executive in the residential property team. She joined the firm in 2009. Jacquie has 30 years’ experience in residential conveyancing which involves house sales and purchases, re-mortgages, sale and purchase of freehold ground rents, lease extensions and transfer of equity. Jacquie also works with many of our longstanding clients and assists with all aspects of their property portfolios.

Michael Ingamells
Michael specialises in Private Client work including Wills, Estate administration, Trusts, Court of Protection Deputyship matters and Powers of Attorney. He has been a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners since 1993.
